Let’s Dry Up the Supply

These two recent developments in the ongoing unconstitutional actions by the current regime should move you to immediate action:

Today at her press conference to introduce the bill, Feinstein said, “The purpose is to dry up the supply of these weapons over time.”

The Department of Homeland Security is seeking to acquire 7,000 5.56x45mm NATO “personal defense weapons” (PDW) — also known as “assault weapons” when owned by civilians. The solicitation, originally posted on June 7, 2012, comes to light as the Obama administration is calling for a ban on semi-automatic rifles and high capacity magazines.

Citing a General Service Administration (GSA) request for proposal (RFP), Steve McGough of RadioViceOnline.com reports that DHS is asking for the 7,000 “select-fire” firearms because they are “suitable for personal defense use in close quarters.” The term select-fire means the weapon can be both semi-automatic and automatic. Civilians are prohibited from obtaining these kinds of weapons.

The RFP describes the firearm as “Personal Defense Weapon (PDW) – 5.56x45mm NATO, select-fire firearm suitable for personal defense use in close quarters and/or when maximum concealment is required.” Additionally, DHS is asking for 30 round magazines that “have a capacity to hold thirty (30) 5.56x45mm NATO rounds.”

Republican New York state Sen. Greg Ball also issued a press release this week bringing attention to the weapons purchase request

You know why they want them. These weapons are good for personal defense, so naturally, the American citizens should not be allowed to have them.

This is one more instance of the government violating our Constitutionally-protected right to defend ourselves against government tyranny.  In fact, this gun grab by the federal government, coupled with the gun legislation proposed by “senator” feinstein who said her purpose is to “dry up the supply of these weapons over time,” is the very sort of tyranny the 2nd Amendment was written to prevent.

Now is the time to stand up for the Constitution. Now is the time to stand up for what is right. It is time for some peaceful resistance. Any lawyer will tell you the best way to avoid going to court is to be prepared for court. The same principle applies here.

Gun manufacturers need to stand with the American people. Say no to the government. Do not accept the order. Offer contracts to private distributors and dry up the supply indefinitely so the government can’t interfere with the people’s right to keep and bear arms. The same goes for ammunition; start contracting with the private sector. After all, the private sector has kept you in business for all these decades. In addition, you know these contracts would go like hotcakes. I am confident that by offering contracts you would be assuring your success far into the future.

We in the private sector – the American people – will place orders for these weapons and ammunition, and do everything we can to dry up the supply indefinitely so the government cannot get their hands on them.

The fact is, our own government is trying to prevent us from having the means to remain free. Our own government is violating our 2nd Amendment guarantee to self-defense and the protection of our liberty. This is tyranny no matter which way you look at it. Further, by arming themselves and employing armed security details, THEY DEMOSTRATE THAT THEY KNOW IT IS TYRANNY TOO.

We must put a halt to these blatant violations of our rights while we still have the ability to do it peacefully, backed up with a show of strength that only comes from being armed and able to defend ourselves. The best way to avoid a trial, or a fight, is to be prepared for one. -You know I’m right.
